Dynamics of Financial and Economic Research
Everything around us is some way or another related to finance and economics. In recent years, financial and economic research is a topic of interest among developed and developing countries due to rapid change in the financial environment. There is a need for an individual’s knowledge of financial concepts and their ability to use that knowledge to make critical decisions in the money management process. Knowledge of finance and economics is in the areas of investment management, retirement planning, general money management, and credit management. Consumers’/investors’ should have an understanding of financial products and concepts and have the ability and confidence to appreciate financial risks and opportunities, to make informed choices, to know where to go for help, and to take other effective actions to improve their financial well-being. This will bring change in individual’s financial investment behavior, such as obtaining debt, participation in the stock market, investment in mutual funds or savings in banks, accumulation of wealth and properly managing it, making proper retirement plans such as investment in pension schemes, investment in risk management products such as insurance. Thus, research in finance helps individuals, investors, financial and economic analysis & experts to judge how the financial industry is changing and trending. In a company, financial research helps to determine its future goals as well as the performance by the department and as a whole. Financial research has gained importance because there is series of uncertainty and risk involved in the market affecting the industry. Financial research can contribute towards guiding sound investment decisions, Greater risk management techniques and the optimal allocation of assets. This will help managers to take their company out of risk and make their earnings stable and sustainable. The aim of this edited volume is to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, academicians, and professionals from diverse domains of finance to share innovative research achievements & practical experiences to stimulate scholarly debate in the development of finance and its major areas.
